Missing for FIVE Years, Bandit Makes his way Home with a Registered Microchip!

March 17, 2022

Bandit has been Reunited at last!

When this skinny, matted, senior dog came to our shelter we had no idea the impact he would leave on our hearts. Little Shih Tzu, named Bandit, was in need of some major help when he first came to us. He was matted, emaciated, his eyes were in terrible shape, the list could go on. But what made us do a double take was that Bandit had a registered microchip, and an alert that he had been missing since 2017!
When we contacted his owners, they were so overjoyed to hear that Bandit, their dog who had been stolen over 5 years prior, was finally found! Bandit required lots of medical attention during his stay at our shelter including a visit to a cardiologist. Bandit’s owners came to visit him every day he was with us, until finally the day came when this beautiful boy and his amazing family were reunited at last! This reunion would have never happened if Bandit’s family had neglected to have him microchipped. That is the reason this happy boy and his family are reunited once again!
