We live in a representative democracy. We elect leaders on the local, county, state, and federal levels of government to hold office and represent us when making laws. It is vitally important that you know who your elected representatives are, especially your state senator and two Assembly representatives in Trenton. To find your legislative district and representatives in Trenton, you can find them here on the state legislative website by looking them up by the municipality in which you live.
You can always be in touch with your representatives’ offices, request a meeting with them to discuss an animal welfare issue, or you can join us when we are in Trenton at the Statehouse speaking up for animal issues.
