Abandoned in a park just a few hours after birth, 7 puppies newborn puppies are now safe in our care.
Our shelters have been facing an unprecedented influx of incoming animals for quite a while, challenging the limits of our resources and staff on a daily basis.
However, with the recent arrival of so many puppies, our team has been challenged in a whole new way. In the past few months, we have seen more puppies in our shelter than ever before. While these puppies are, of course, incredibly snuggly and adorable, they require so much additional care and resources. We are urgently seeking your support to continue our rescue mission and provide the necessary care for our precious puppies.
Our most recent litter of puppies arrived at our Newark shelter on Friday, June 14th. These seven tiny puppies appear to have been born overnight on Thursday, June 13th. They were discovered abandoned in a box at a park in Roselle, without their mom and with their umbilical cords still attached. Thankfully, a compassionate good Samaritan found them and quickly brought them to us, recognizing the immediate need for intervention.
These puppies, just days old, are now in foster homes where they are receiving round-the-clock bottle feeding and care to help them thrive.
We are desperately low on the supplies these puppies need!
Caring for these vulnerable puppies is an intensive and demanding process. Bottle-baby puppies require feeding every few hours, careful monitoring of their health, and a warm, safe environment to grow in.
Older puppies also need frequent feeding, socialization, and basic training to prepare them for adoption.
Your generous donations of supplies such as puppy formula, cleaning supplies, bottles, and toys are crucial in helping us provide the best care for these puppies at every stage of their development.
Our most urgent need is for Fox Valley Puppy Formula, Huggies Baby Wipes, and Puppy Pads.
We also have a litter of 7-week old German Shepherd puppies who are almost ready for adoption!
Born at our Forked River shelter, these cuties have been getting the best care while they wait for their new families!
In addition to the newborns, we have a litter of 7-week-old German Shepherd puppies who will soon be ready for their new adoptive homes. These friendly, curious, and playful pups were born into our care and have grown into fluffy little bundles of joy. They are so smart and inquisitive and will make a great addition to any German Shepherd-loving family!
