Volunteer Orientation @ AHS Tinton Falls

BIG Dog Volunteer Orientation – Registration Required – 18+ in age.

In order to attend, you must register first!

If you do not apply/register through the link below, please do not just show up as you will not be included in orientation.

New volunteers must be able to:
– Squat down to leash dogs. Good knees are important!
– Control strong dogs who have a ton of energy and pull a lot.
– Be comfortable with dogs ranging in size from 40 lbs –> 90 lbs.
– Commit to visiting the shelter a minimum of 2x during the 7 day week.

Notes:
1) The majority of our dogs are Pitbulls or Pittie Mixes.
2) We randomly have small dogs in house so if you are looking to walk mellow / small dogs, this is not your orientation.
3) This is NOT cat volunteering orientation. Please only register if you are interested in in walking big Pitties / Pitbulls.
