Humane Heroes for animals for April!
High schoolers go above and beyond for homeless animals!
All of us at Associated Humane Societies would like to thank the dedicated and compassionate students from Monmouth Regional High School, who participated in the Be the Change Project! The students printed and posted copies of the AHS wishlist and shared them to collect a great deal of pet supplies for our Tinton Falls branch! Some of the students stopped by to drop off the donations and we can’t thank them enough. Keep up the good work!
All of us at AHS would like to thank our friends at Bergen County Humane Society and Fly Away Animal Rescue for their donations to our Newark branch! Both organizations heard that we were running low on linens at Newark and they really came through for us, dropping off tons of linens and other supplies. Thank you both so much!
Our Youngest Humane Hero!
Humane Hero Olivia, our AHS Supporter-In-Training, spent her 4th birthday collecting donations for our animals! Olivia, the granddaughter of AHS employee Sherri, was so excited to help out our animals, whom she calls, “shelter babies” and we can’t thank her enough for all of her efforts. Happy Birthday Olivia!
Beachwood Daycare Holds Donation Drive
Thank you so much to Busy Bee’s Day Care in Beachwood, NJ! Their director, Marlena Schuler, and the kids stopped by AHS/Popcorn Park with all of the donations that they collected for our animals! They collected pet food, litter, beds, cat scratchers, toys and more, and all of our animals appreciate it so much!

The Kotzas Family Charitable Foundation and Crossroads realty in Toms River visited AHS/Popcorn Park on the 19th for their annual visit. Last year because of COVID, they were unable to visit the park and the animals, but still wanted to help us and our animals by making a monetary donation but this year with the park back open and things slowly getting back to normal, they made their way around the park and visited all of their favorite park residents and stopped into the office to see our staff and make their generous donation. Thank you so much!
