‘Shockingly Cruel Conditions’ Behind NJ Law Makers’ Push to Ban Puppy Kitten Sales

We are pleased to see this wonderful coverage in the Asbury Park Press about S.2511/A.4051, the humane pet store bill, which has been introduced in New Jersey to protect animals and consumers from the cruel puppy mill to pet store pipeline. We strongly support the legislation and thank Assemblywoman Luanne Peterpaul of Monmouth County for her leadership as a co-sponsor of this vital animal welfare legislation. This bill has strong support from numerous local, state, and national organizations, including nearly 50 humane pet stores in New Jersey, as well as veterinarians and other groups.
