BIG Dog Volunteer Orientation – Registration Required

In order to attend, you must register first! Registration will take place via the link below https://ahscares.org/volunteer-with-us/
If you do not apply/register through the link below, please do not just show up as you will not be included in orientation.

New volunteers must be able to:
– Squat down to leash dogs. Good knees are important!
– Control strong dogs who have a ton of energy and pull a ton.
– Be comfortable with dogs ranging in size from 40 lbs –> 90 lbs.
– Commit to visiting the shelter a minimum of 2x during the 7 day week.

Note: The majority of our dogs are Pitbulls or Pittie Mixes.
