Help Zoro, an Injured Kitten with a Rubber Band found around his Neck

February 1, 2022

Zoro’s story is one you won’t soon forget! Zoro was found with a small rubber band wrapped tightly around his neck, which we suspect was on him for a very long while because of the extensive damage it did to his neck! We are so thankful to the good Samaritans who thought to bring Zoro to us, or who knows what would’ve happened if that rubber band stayed on any longer. After inspecting the wound to determine the depth, our medical team set straight away to cleaning and disinfecting the wound to prevent any further infection. Zoro came to our shelter December 26th and has made a remarkably fast recovery.

His neck wound is healing wonderfully and soon he’ll be on his way to finding a forever home. In his very short life of only a year and a half Zoro has had to face pain and suffering with a resilient attitude, but once he finds his forever family, he will know nothing but happiness, health and an abundance of love.

If you’re interested in adopting Zoro, please contact us at 973-824-7080 or email: newark@ahsppz.org for an application. If you can’t adopt, please donate to our ResQ Fund on behalf of Zoro and the many others like her that come to AHS for help every day.
Thanks so much for your support!
